Darnall Colonial Farm  is set in the midst of one of the most beautiful and bucolic landscapes in the heart of Montgomery County's agricultural reserve.  We are located Just 17 minutes from Potomac Village and Bethesda, Maryland, and only 30 mins from Georgetown via River Road in Montgomery County.

Darnall Colonial Farm is listed on the prestigious National Register of Historic Places and it's history dates to the early 1700s.

Approching the estate you'll cross a meandering creek and a small wooden bridge and quickly find yourself in the middle of the historic cluster of buildings dating back to the 1700s. The stone buildings are constructed of seneca sandstone, which is the same stone used to construct the George Washington's C&O Canal and the Smithsonian Castle. At the top of the glade the estate opens up to beautiful acreage, woodlands and two historic barns.

Our guest have enjoyed weddings, family parties, corporate events and more on this beautiful property. The open lawn offers the perfect space to design your event- from elegant white tents to cocktails & casual lawn games. The patio and the porch, as well as the historic barns offer additional beautiful and unique spaces for your event.

Given the historic nature of the property it's only appropriate that we have historic animals! Darnall Colonial Farm, has as it's residents, several rare breeds including a Norwegin Fjord horse named Brita and 6 tunis sheep (her friends).

See Darnall Colonial Farm and fall in love - just as we did 30 years ago !
