WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Darnall Colonial Farm is located at 17615 Whites Ferry Road, Poolesville, MD. The farm is approximately 17 minutes from Potomac Village and Bethesda via River Road. The farm is conveniently located to all of NW DC and Northern Virginia.

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU HOST ?

Its a farm!  We are happy to host everything from intimate gatherings to large scale occasions. Spaces are scalable and customizable. There is ample parking and plenty of room for buses and other transport. The largest party to date was just over 300 people. The smallest gathering was 45 people (and one small dog).

 

ARE PETS ALLOWED?

Pets are allowed with the express written consent of Darnall Colonial Farm and would be part of your contract. It's important to remember that there is a horse and six sheep on the property. Some pets like to chase sheep (and sheep hate that). So, we have to be careful when pets are involved.

 

DO YOU HAVE PREFERRED VENDORS?

Nope.  You are free to use a reputable company upon disclosure to us and approval. All vendors need to work with our onsite coordinator.  Because of the historic nature of the property we have to guard against anything that might compromise the estate.  We have vendors we love to work with and trust. We would be happy to provide you with a full list upon request. There is no exchange of money or any type of commission between us and any vendor. We just enjoy working with each other and know they will do a great job.

 

WHEN DO I NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION?

That's a good question. The truth is, it is entirely up to you. As you have probably discovered, depending on the event many venues are booked 12 months in advance. We are flexible and look forward to your inquiry.

 

YOU SAID THERE IS A HOUSE IN ADDITION TO THE BARNS; CAN WE USE THE HOUSE?

The first floor of the house, the brick patio and screened porch with fireplace are available to you and your guests as well as the stone building. This would be part of your rental contract should your desire. By Early Spring of 2018 the large barn will also be available.

 

WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT POLICIES?

We accept credit cards and personal checks. Reservation deposits are required and complete payment is required four weeks prior to the event.
